During Covid 19, Cheryl has been designing innovative ways to help older people stay connected with a sense of place & identity through sound. In July, The Arts Council of Wales awarded Cheryl a Covid 19 Sustainability Grant for her project WALK 19 / CERDDED 19 - between now & December, she will engage a team of 5 artists, including herself, training them to collate dementia friendly soundscapes from across Wales, recording the daily walks taken during Covid 19, exhibiting the work via Social Media platforms & housing an overall Sound Map at Sound Memories Radio, linking the exhibited work to care homes & older members of the community.
