CYMRAEG

Mae Symffoni Coedwigoedd Glaw CÂN Y COED yn gydweithrediad unigryw rhwng Coedwigoedd Glaw Cymru a'r Artist Sain Amgylcheddol, Cheryl Beer. Arweinir y cyfansoddiad gan systemau fasgwlaidd coed hynafol, rhedyn a mwsogl, a goladwyd drwy ailbwrpasu technoleg teclynnau clyw a biofeddygol, a grymuso natur oddi tan y rhisgl, lle mae pob nodyn yn ymgodi o'r coedwigoedd glaw eu hun.

ENGLISH

CÂN Y COED Rainforest Symphony is a unique collaboration between the Rainforests of Wales and Environmental Sound Artist, Cheryl Beer. The composition is led by the vascular systems of ancient trees, ferns and moss, collated by repurposing hearing aid and biomedical sound technology, empowering nature from beneath the bark, where every note is led by the rainforests, themselves.

CYMRAEG

Mae Symffoni Coedwigoedd Glaw CÂN Y COED yn gwahodd cynulleidfaoedd i ymgysylltu â'r amgylchedd trwy gydweithrediad unigryw â natur, ac am y tro cyntaf, mae Coedwigoedd Glaw Cymru yn cyflwyno'u cân oddi tan y rhisgl i'r byd digidol. Mae'r artist sain amgylcheddol a'r cyfansoddwr â nam ar y clyw, Cheryl Beer, wedi treulio'r flwyddyn ddiwethaf yn gweithio gyda Choedwigoedd Glaw hynafol Cymru, yn cyfansoddi cerddoriaeth dan arweiniad y systemau fasgwlaidd yn y pump clofan bregus sy’n weddill.  Mae ei gwaith yn uno tiroedd Celtaidd hynafol a oedd gynt wedi’u cysylltu dan y pridd drwy edafedd mân, pluog o ffwng myceliwm, gan sefyll fel un goedwig law odidog, ond sydd heddiw yn fregus ac wedi'i darnio.  Trwy ailbwrpasu teclynnau clyw ac offer biofeddygol sensitif, mae Cheryl wedi coladu'r biorhythmau a grëwyd gan ddargludedd yn nyfnderoedd coed, rhedyn a mwsogl, a defnyddio’r darlleniadau hyn i gyfansoddi Symffoni lle mae pob nodyn o'r gerddoriaeth wedi'i arwain gan y coedwigoedd glaw hynafol eu hun.

ENGLISH

CÂN Y COED Rainforest Symphony invites audiences to connect with the environment through a unique collaboration with nature, where for the first time, the Rainforests of Wales sing out from beneath the bark to the digital world. Hearing impaired, environmental sound artist and composer Cheryl Beer, has spent the last year working with the ancient Rainforests of Wales, composing music led by the vascular systems of five remaining enclaves. Her work reunites ancient Celtic grounds that would once have been joined together under the soil by the fine feathery threads of mycelium fungus, standing as one magnificent rainforest, and yet today, fragmented and fragile. By repurposing hearing aid and sensitive biomedical sound equipment, Cheryl has collated biorhythms created by conductivity deep within trees, ferns and moss, using these readings to unearth and compose a Symphony where every musical note played, is led by the ancient rainforests, themselves.
