Cheryl Beer creates inspirational nature narratives exploring the environmental relationships between place & the poetics of humanityCurrently, Cheryl is funded by addo to research and develop innovative ways of bringing spectral frequency and sound waves into the public realm as contemporary art. Based at The Millennium Coastal Path, a stone's throw from where she lives, she is recording the High Tides as an Environmental Sound Artist. It may seem like a far cry from what feels like a past life, touring festivals and theatres, performing across the country as a singer/songwriter, alongside the likes of Sir Bob Geldof & Van Morrison. Had it not been for her sudden hearing loss, perhaps Cheryl may never have been inspired to delve so deeply into the healing nature of environmental sound.

Daeth Cheryl i Gymru gyntaf yn ei harddegau ac erbyn iddi orffen ei gradd gyntaf ym Mhrifysgol De Cymru, roedd wedi cwympo mewn cariad â'r diwylliant, y bobl a’r cefn gwlad – Cymru yw ei chartref bellach ac, er nad yw'n siarad Cymraeg, mae'n chwilio am ffyrdd o gynnwys yr iaith yn ei gwaith.
