Almost a Poet
Soul Ink for the Morning
On the Day that Mummy Died
We will dance until they hear us
Soul Ink for the Morning is a Collection of 100 poetic thoughts that came to me in my sleep, that I found recorded onto the voice recorder of my mobile phone. I had no idea I had been recording them. I typed them up and they helped me to start the day in a lovin way, so I published the book to help others. It is now SOLD OUT but I am working on a digital version, so watch this space.
I often get requests and commissions for poems & this one is no different. Having been approached by 3 people to write something that might help children who have lost a parent: 'On the day that Mummy died.'
Smoke screen is my poetic response to the political malaise we find ourselves within ... what could this circus be hiding?
'We'll dance until they hear us' is an off the cuff poem written for World Poetry Day about the voices that are not heard, but that are there.
